[專題演講] Building Neural Circuitry in Developing and Aging Brain (2019.07.11)

We are interested in understanding how functional neuronal connections in the brain are built and how abnormalities in this process can lead to developmental or aging-related brain diseases. There are three main objectives in my talk. First, I will discuss the refinement of neuronal circuits in developing, mature, and aging brain. Second, I will describe a molecular mechanism regulating neural circuit formation during development and how a disease gene can alter the circuit. Third, I will describe our recent work in identifying changes of neural circuit refinement in aging brain.
