Research Interests
Molecular imaging, Nuroimaging, Translational Radiopharmaceutical Sciences
The research activities in our lab include molecular PET imaging of cancer and the central nervous system using newly developed radiotracers. Experimental imaging system consists of several different core technique including in vitro cell uptake, reversible or irreversible binding, tissue extraction, digital autoradiography, dynamic analysis of metabolites and pharmacokinetics/ pharmacodynamics and includes different imaging modalities such as PET, SPECT,Optical image, CT and MRI. Our laboratory has developed and produced clinically relevant animal models of various CNS diseases and cancers including transgenic and disease models for testing new imaging and therapeutic approaches in which the efficacy of imaging of a given therapeutic strategy will be evaluated.
